Probably needless to say, 15th-century poetic manuscripts sell for large amounts of money. Though not poetry, an illuminated manuscript of the French translation of Livy’s history Les Décades dated around the same time as Harley MS4425 sold for $818,252.

A single miniature from an illuminated manuscript depicting Sir Gawain and his nine companions on their search for Lancelot sold for $51,390, and the famous Rochefoucauld Grail, another Arthurian manuscript of three volumes, sold for a whopping grand total of $3,773,198.
